I believe these are the core elements required to build a solid foundation as a pianist and to help bring your level up to an artistic level with diligent practice.
Recognizing that each student is different, I adjust the fundamental elements of piano playing described above according to the age, maturity, musicianship level, and personality of the student.

In my lessons I teach…
- The proper form of playing the piano: Good posture with arms and wrists flexible and relaxed, which prevents tension that often causes the harsh sound and can lead to hand injuries.
- How to press the keys: use of the entire arm weight, avoiding shallow or brutal key depression in order to create
- Note reading, music theory, music history, which helps deepen the understanding of a piece.
- Scales and arpeggios. Etudes (after about 6 month of serious practice)
- Phrasing: Creates convincing expression.
- Deciphering and developing a mental image of a piece.
- Finding balanced practice: technique and expression go hand in hand to play beautifully.
